Night Project Ideas
You may choose to complete one of the following projects below or you may have another creative idea. Come see me for approval. You may complete your project with one partner. Deadline: Wednesday, March 13.
1. Create an original work of art that represents an important aspect of the book Night. You may choose to work in any art form you wish; some possible options are painting, sculpture, diorama, graphic novel, musical composition, etc. In addition to your art piece, you must submit a written description/analysis (approximately 200 words) of your project; you must also give a 1-2 minute presentation to the class in which you explain your piece.
2. On a large poster board, create a timeline of the history of the Jewish people. Begin your timeline with Abraham's covenant with God. Your time line must include 15-20 items, and each “moment” on the timeline must include a brief description (5-10 sentences) of the event and its significance. A minimum of 10 visual items (e.g. pictures, symbols, etc.) must also appear on your timeline. Your project must look neat and presentable. Make sure it doesn't look sloppily put together!
3. The Holocaust is the most well-known incident of genocide in the world. Sadly, genocides and attempts of genocide have occurred since then. Create a poster (on poster board) about an act of attempted genocide that occurred after the Holocaust. Some choices are:
